Ain’t no haunting like a haunted machine
Ain’t no possession like a possessed machine

Call Me Up
03:01
|
|||
I would always tell you
go your own
call me up and tell me about that you miss me
call me up and tell me about the pavement
call me up and tell me about your blisters
call me up and tell me about your sister
call me up and tell me about the traffic
call me up and tell me about your new friends
call me up and tell me about the transit
I don’t believe you

Solitary Walker
05:21
|
|||
I am a solitary walker I am always on the outside
there is an impenetrable bubble over everywhere I’ve been
Tourist thing you photo island buildings out in a sea of concrete
Sometimes you get so far from me
you are a one word answer across the urban sprawl
Move forward or stay right where you are
never going where you say that you are
move sideways or are you moving at all
the seasons they change the seasons they mostly stay the same
move onward more onward you pull ground under you
pull ground don’t you move yourself around
September always feels like a long time ago
its a memory paying out real long and real slow
concrete complete me now
concrete lay me down
concrete make me a sound
I’v got my own voice in headphones right now
can’t out walk this thing all circling round
Move forward or stay right where you are
never going where you say that you are
move sideways or are you moving at all
the seasons they change the seasons they mostly stay the same
move onward more onward you pull ground under you
pull ground don’t you move yourself around

Go Get It
04:06
|
|||
Climbing up when you
aint got words left to stand on
all of the people you knew
up on every hill side is a beautiful view
and a long way back down
and some other hill to climb
So go get it go get it

Scream The Wind
03:42
|
|||
Trying to burn off some of my feelings by testing my body against the mountain
I’d like to do a meditation where every time I think of you i just try not to you
this utopia spaces
Today I am feeling strong and stubborn and boyish
A complication
Do you like it
do you want it
I wanna scream the wind and find the wind in my mouth again

Real Art
02:36
|
|||
He says that real art is cleaning
he says that real art is purging
Are you cleaning up are you making different
I go on into the studio
I wrap up the thing in nylon and than I unwrap the nylon from the chair
cuz Ive been making
trash on trash on trash on trash
And are you cleaning up are you making different
And than I tear up the pieces
than I tear up the pieces of those pieces and than I tear up
are you cleaning up are you making different

Souvenir
02:37
|
|||
You don’t know what you do to me do you
I don’t think you care
prolly never know
But that is my fault not yours
The sunset was a candy pink cover everything in a weird light
watch the planes land when I am sad
think back to a time when things could just fall out the sky
I ate the roses from the neighbors yard and they could never put me away
Brought you something pretty from the riverbed
in my souvenir does the prettiness of place
the slowness of my breath
somehow translate
The sunset was a blood orange cover everything in a weird light
watch the planes land when I am sad
think back to a time when things could just fall out the sky
I ate the roses from the neighbors yard and they could never put me away

Pavement And Wire
03:22
|
|||
Everything is leaking in a city that never does
your three story building
your unfinished building
up in the mountains we saw a bird
hope you thought it was pretty
the bird keeps on doing
I left with a metaphor
a couple of long sighs
a couple of slow thoughts
I can’t name it
you make me feel that I am strange
though not in a bad way
more like trash in the ally way
composition of back yards as they wind in and out of frame
more like pavement and more like wire
In and out of a black hole
it was Fall out
it was cold
I went in thinking that I knew it
now I could not define it
I don’t know you
you make me feel that I am dreaming
but not in a bad way
more like tangled conversation
a composition of strangers
architecture of their gestures
more like pavement and more like wire

We Are Monsters
04:44
|
|||
I know I shouldn’t be talking to you
but its the only thing I wanna do
and than my phone it dies black box of you
earning every photo every conversation
and than my car it dies somewhere out by your house
and than the back wheel of my bike was stolen
so now it is one foot in front of the other one I am told that is how we are meant to carry on
you put one in front of the other one
When I lose you I lost a part of me too
its the lends that we seen each other through
Don’t wanna let go of the pain
because when I finally do
thats the time when I truly lose you
Who is this monster
someone I used to love
all of the ugliness
thats what is left of us

Rock Song
05:15
|

When the dust blew in
cast its self all around
you had just finished cleaning
and now the restaurant looks more filthy than when you started to clean
over time this dust becomes a solid thing
you are folded in
When the rain falls down makes a sound
hard hallow hitting the ground all the violent and electric
and how it breaks the ground beneath it
make something you could put in your pocket
make something you could carry around with you fulgurite
I know you will leave here soon
but would you take with you those stones in the back seat of your tuck
you’ve been carrying them round for so long
that the weight becomes something quite comforting
over time the things that we make take on this weight all of their own
and you could drive them all over town
When the stone fell down made a sound
a hot hollow hitting the ground all the violence of the alien rock
how it breaks the ground beneath it
made something you could put in your pocket
made something you could carry around with you moldavite
I went on a walk the other day and I was feeling very distracted
I had spend most of the day on my computer
so I picked up a couple of rocks as if that might offer me some kind of something,
but I was humbled when I realized that I had not even looked at the rocks
so I sat down intending to draw them and really look at them
but instead a drew a couple of pictures and wrote for a spell
but I never once looked at the pictures and than I got up and I forgot them
