When the dust blew in

and now the restaurant looks more filthy than when you started to clean

and how it breaks the ground beneath it
make something you could put in your pocket
make something you could carry around with you fulgurite

but would you take with you those stones in the back seat of your tuck
you’ve been carrying them round for so long
that the weight becomes something quite comforting
over time the things that we make take on this weight all of their own
and you could drive them all over town
When the stone fell down made a sound
a hot hollow hitting the ground all the violence of the alien rock
how it breaks the ground beneath it

I went on a walk the other day and I was feeling very distracted
I had spend most of the day on my computer
so I picked up a couple of rocks as if that might offer me some kind of something,
but I was humbled when I realized that I had not even looked at the rocks
so I sat down intending to draw them and really look at them
but instead a drew a couple of pictures and wrote for a spell
but I never once looked at the pictures and than I got up and I forgot them
